Perge and Kurşunlu Waterfall

Half a day with a biblical focus and nature: in Perge we enter the city where Paul and Barnabas arrived and preached. Then a short path in the Kurşunlu nature park leads to a waterfall in a green pool.

Full description

Perge was the gateway to Pamphylia. Paul and Barnabas came here from Cyprus; John Mark left them at this point. We walk through the city gates, along the colonnaded street and across the agora, and read the passages of Acts at the place where they happened.

The Kurşunlu nature park is only a few kilometres away. A shady path leads to the waterfall, which falls into a turquoise pool – a peaceful ending.

• Comfortable shoes and sun protection – Ancient sites and old-town lanes have uneven paving and little shade; please bring water in summer.
