How the wheelchair rental works

Choose model and dates

• Select the wheelchair, the hand-over and return dates and the hand-over location. The fixed price appears immediately.

Pay the deposit

• 30 % is due when you book, by PayPal or instant bank transfer. The balance is due before hand-over.

Receive the wheelchair

• We bring the wheelchair to your hotel, your ship or the airport at the agreed time and collect it again at the end.

Delivery to hotels, cruise terminals and airports

Hotel or address of your choice

Within 20 km of the old city, for example in Sultanahmet, Beyoğlu or Beşiktaş. Included in the price.

Cruise terminals

Hand-over at Galataport (Karaköy), Salıpazarı or Sarayburnu, timed to your ship's call. Included in the price.

Airports

Atatürk Airport is included in the price. Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) carry a surcharge, which we state in the confirmation.

Frequently asked questions about wheelchair rental in Istanbul

How much does it cost to rent a wheelchair in Istanbul?

A manual wheelchair starts at €35 for one day and €79 for seven days; an electric wheelchair starts at €49 per day. Delivery and collection within 20 km of the old city are always included in the fixed price, and all prices include VAT.

Where do you deliver the wheelchair?

To your hotel or an address of your choice within 20 km of the old city, for example in Sultanahmet, Beyoğlu or Beşiktaş, and also to the cruise terminals Galataport (Karaköy), Salıpazarı and Sarayburnu as well as Atatürk Airport. Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) carry a surcharge.

Which wheelchair suits the cobblestones of the old city?

For bumpy ground we recommend the comfort or the XL wheelchair: both have large 24-inch rear wheels and puncture-proof solid front tyres. If you want to travel without a companion, the Quickie Tango electric wheelchair is the better choice, as it climbs kerbs of up to 10 cm.

Is there a wheelchair for heavier users?

Yes. The reinforced XL wheelchair carries up to 205 kg. The standard wheelchair carries up to 120 kg and the electric wheelchair up to 125 kg. The booking form checks the weight automatically.

Can I cancel?

Free cancellation is not possible. The following cancellation scale applies: 365 to 30 days before the agreed handover 30 %, 29–15 days 50 %, 14–7 days 75 %, 6–1 day before and in case of no-show 100 % of the rental price. How do I pay?

You pay a 30 % deposit when booking, by PayPal or instant bank transfer. The balance is due before hand-over. For bookings made less than 72 hours in advance we check availability first, so you only pay after our confirmation.

How late can I book?

Online booking is possible from the next day onwards. For very short-notice requests please message us on WhatsApp at +49 176 62157259.

Yes. We offer wheelchair-accessible full-day and half-day tours of Istanbul with a licensed guide and, on request, a wheelchair-accessible minivan with an electric lift.
