Tahtalı Cable Car and Phaselis

From the sea to over 2,300 metres in a few minutes: the cable car takes us to the summit of Tahtalı, the ancient Olympus of Lycia, with views over the whole coast. Then we go down to Phaselis, where ruins lie among pines around three bays.

Full description

The valley station is near Tekirova. The cabin takes about ten minutes to the summit, where in spring there is often still snow while people swim below. On a clear day the view reaches Antalya. Cable car tickets are paid on site.

In the afternoon we visit Phaselis: the broad main street links north and south harbour, with agora, baths, theatre and aqueduct alongside. On request there is time for a swim in one of the bays.

Meeting point

We pick you up with vehicle and driver at Antalya cruise port (Port Akdeniz) or at your hotel and bring you back there.

• Comfortable shoes and sun protection – Ancient sites and old-town lanes have uneven paving and little shade; please bring water in summer.
